Wong studied the mantis and by combining moves from 17 other styles he was able to create Tourou-Ken. Even with its smaller size the mantis was still able to take the advantage, with quick forearm strikes. On one of his training sessions he came across a praying mantis fighting a cicada. Wong being a lot smaller than his muscular brother continued to train in hopes to make his superior sibling submit. A master in his own right was never able to get the upper hand when battling his brother Feng. This style of Kung-Fu was discovered in China during the 17th century by a Shaolin master named Wong Long. Tourou-Ken Tourou-Ken, or praying mantis fist, like all forms of Kung-Fu is based off of its animal counterpart.
